While we do not provide support for third part software, we do strongly recommend having Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware programs on your computer. "Anti-Malware" is a term that encompasses preventing and removing all types of bad software, from fake anti-virus, trojans, spyware, adware, and so on. Aside from links to these programs, we also provide a link to the User's Guide for our customers because just having these programs is not enough; they must be used regularly and kept up to date, so you should know how to use it.
While protection is important, it's best to only have a two or three programs. You typically must choose one Anti-Virus program, then one or more Anti-Malware programs. Too many can slow your computer down and impose too many restrictions, which defeats the purpose. We suggest you try out a few and buy a full, licensed, copy of your favorite.
Here are some FREE options, most of which have more elaborate, and more effective, pay-per-license counterparts.
