This processes is for Macintosh OS X users.
- If you have not set up any accounts previously, you will see this window for the initial account setup. Otherwise, skip to the next step.
Enter the name you would like to be displayed on your sent email.
Enter your full email address.
Enter pop3.airadvantage.net for the Incoming mail server.
Use the POP setting for "Account Type".
Enter your username, NOT your full email address.
Enter your password.
Enter mail.airadvantage.net for the Outgoing mail server.
Skip to the fourth step.
- If the Initial Setup window does not appear after opening Mail, Click "Mail" at the top of your screen.
Then click "Preferences".
- Click on the "Accounts" button near the top of the new window.
Click the plus (+) icon near the bottom of the window to add a new account.
Enter a description for the email account to distinguish it from other accounts.
Enter your full email address.Enter the name you would like to appear on your sent emails.
Enter pop3.airadvantage.net for the Incoming mail server.Enter your username, NOT your full email address.
Enter your password.Click on the "Server Settings" button.
- Enter mail.airadvantage.net for the Outgoing mail server.
Leave the port number at "25"
Do NOT check the "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)" checkbox.
Make sure "Authentication" is set to "Password".
If it is not already, enter your username and password.
Click OK.
Your email account should now work!
